The Startup Accelerator Programme Manager is a core member of the Startup Success team with a focus on delivering the best possible experience for all accelerator stakeholders, including company founders, mentors, partners, investors and internal executive leaders. The Startup Accelerator Programme Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the respective MakeUp Accelerator Series through all phases of the year-round program schedule. Key responsibilities range from sourcing and supporting participating startups, managing execution of programming, and developing program strategy in partnership with senior business leadership.

Experience and interest in working with startups, venture capital, and demonstrated project management experience are key success criteria for this role. The Startup Accelerator Programme Manager will have opportunities to collaborate with a variety of innovation, business development and business strategy teams across MotionLab.Berlin.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure successful day-to-day operations of the MakeUp Accelerator programmes including execution of key programme events and activities
  • Work closely with the accelerator directors to develop the overall program strategy and project plan
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Startup Success team to ensure the successful execution of defined activities, program deliverables and associated events
  • Serve as an advocate for the program both internally and externally - recruiting participants and mentors and cultivating key relationships necessary for the successful execution of the program
  • Manage the creation and delivery of presentations, event materials and project management elements required for Accelerator related meetings, events and communications
  • Manage ongoing reporting and updates related to the activities and progress of the MakeUp Accelerator programmes for senior leaders and other internal stakeholders
  • Support sourcing and contracting processes for participating companies

Your talents

  • Undergraduate degree in business, communications, marketing or another related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in fast-paced environments with a focus on startup operations, venture capital, and / or program management
  • You work in a customer-oriented way, you execute quickly, you rethink and gradually implement what works.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience in administrative tasks and the ability to organize and structure complex projects
  • You must have good skills in using digital project organization tools such as Miro, Trello, Google Workspace
  • You have a high willingness to learn new skills and teach your team members new skills
  • You are fluent in English and ideally German (reading and writing)

  • Startup and / or entrepreneurial experience
  • Technical/engineering background and know-how
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and situational awareness
  • Impeccable communication, reporting and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, pivoting and high-pressure timelines / goals
  • Effective communication skills in German and English - both written and spoken
  • Excellent organizational skills
