We are looking for a marketing & events manager in our soon to start MakeUp Hardtech Innovation accelerator programme.* 

As our Marketing & Event Manager you are responsible to promote the programme's vision, mission and values through creative marketing activities as well as unique event formats, including but not limited to: Development and implementation of the programmes content strategy, participation in external events to represent the programme and planning and hosting our own events. You will be part of our marketing department to determine key events and marketing opportunities, handle event coordination from start-to-finish (registration, attendance, etc.), and prove return on investment (ROI).

You should have:

  • A successful track record of organizing events onsite and online and experience in creating holistic campaigns
  • A sense for authentic content marketing
  • A strategic approach on creating valuable, educational, and relevant content
  • A highly detail & results oriented mind-set
  • The ability to interact with your team, successfully manage projects, set goals and provide administrative support
  • The experience to work under pressure, demonstrate active listening & organizational skills
  • A good level of proficiency in Google Suite applications including Docs, Sheets, Presentations and Gmail
  • Basic knowledge in graphics arts software (Adobe, Wordpress) and HTML for website applications or the willingness to learn

It’s a demanding and diverse role that includes a mix of administrative tasks, project coordination and creative work.​​ 

Tasks & responsibility

Create and manage project plans for various marketing and event activities, like:



  • Development and implementation of the programme content strategy
  • Contributing to social media posts
  • Creating interesting and well-researched content that drives traffic and engages site visitors
  • Maintain records of press coverage & media
  • Be the first point of contact if the accelerator teams need marketing support and use their projects as source of content for the programme promotion
  • Work with our graphic designer to develop promotional materials
  • Maintaining and updating the website programme content 


  • Coordinate events by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; managing mailing lists to ensure event success
  • Organisation of our programme kickoff-events and demo days in cooperation with our marketing team
  • Set, communicate and maintain event timelines and priorities to the teams
  • Identify fitting sponsors and partnerships
  • On-the-day management of events
  • Invoicing and event follow-up

MakeUp Hardtech Innovation accelerator programme

While software start-ups usually only need a laptop and internet access to start working on their idea, the requirements for and of hardtech startups are far more specific in order to implement initial ideas and develop them into series products. MakeUp Hardtech Innovation will change this with an individual and unique offer. The programme will provide hardtech startups with the necessary space to develop prototypes, access to machines and workshops, financial support for materials and development, and support from highly specialised experts. The programme supports the development of sustainable hardtech innovations in the fields of mobility, health care, IoT, energy, advanced materials, smart cities, circular economy, clean energy and urban living to create a world in which we can have a fair and sustainable coexistence.

You will receive a fixed-term employment contract for the duration of the programme.
Salary: 2.500 euros per month.
